Getting started

Your first recording, step by step.

The small desktop app records your microphone and computer sound. The website shows your transcript and notes. You only need to download and pair the app once.

On Windows

Windows 10 or 11 · Intel / AMD 64-bit

  1. Create an account or sign in on gbeborun.
  2. Click Set up audio capture, choose Windows, and download the app.
  3. Find the downloaded ZIP file. Right-click it, choose Extract All, then Extract.
  4. Open the extracted folder and double-click GbeborunCapture.exe. Keep all the extracted files together.
  5. On the website, click Generate pairing code. In the Windows app, enter https://gbeborun.app as the website address, paste the code, and click Pair this PC.
  6. Connect your headphones and microphone. Make sure everyone knows you’re recording, tick the confirmation box, then click Start recording. Allow microphone access if Windows asks.
  7. When finished, click Stop and finish notes. Keep the app open and connected to the internet until your notes are ready.
  8. Return to the website and open your meeting to read the transcript and summary.

This is an unsigned preview. Windows may show a publisher warning. Don’t turn off your security software. If the app is blocked, ask for help before continuing.

On Mac

macOS 15 or later · Intel or Apple Silicon

  1. Create an account or sign in on gbeborun.
  2. Click Set up audio capture, choose macOS, and download the app.
  3. Open your Downloads folder and double-click the ZIP file to unpack it. Move gbeborun Capture into Applications and open it.
  4. Click the gbeborun waveform icon in the menu bar at the top of your screen, then choose Settings….
  5. On the website, click Generate pairing code. In the app’s Settings, enter https://gbeborun.app, paste the code, and click Pair this Mac.
  6. Make sure everyone knows you’re recording. Click the menu-bar icon and choose Start listening. Allow microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording access when asked. The helper captures audio only.
  7. If macOS asks you to quit and reopen the app after granting permission, do so, then choose Start listening again.
  8. When finished, choose Stop & make notes from the menu-bar icon. Keep the helper running while it uploads. Open your meeting on the website to read your notes.

This is a preview and is not yet notarized by Apple. macOS may prevent it from opening. Don’t disable your Mac’s security protections; ask for help if it is blocked.

Try a one-minute recording first

Use headphones, play a short spoken video, and say a few words into your microphone. Stop the recording and check your notes. Your voice appears as “You”; computer audio appears as “Remote”.

Keep the meeting on the website while audio is uploading. If the Windows app offers “Retry pending uploads”, check your internet connection and click Retry. Don’t discard a recording you want to keep.
